This is a short and spectacular hike with amazing views of the Blasket Islands Beehive Huts - Hold a Baby Lamb 3 euro to hold a lamb – nothing else here Caifé na Trá - coffee shop on Slea Head Amazing views, great light fare Creepy, not well maintained. Don’t bother.

Blasket Island Ferries - shortest trip (20 minutes) Ferry trips from Dunquin Pier/Cé Dhún Chaoin to The Great Blasket Island/An Blascaod Mór daily at 10:05am/11:05am/12:05pm and 1:05pm. A quick 20 minute crossing and 3.5 hrs on the island. Call/WhatsApp to book your seats Summer: 9am, 11am. 45 minutes.

Note: Some boats don’t allow kids under 10 but it’s not clear how enforced that is. If a kid is in reasonably good shape, they’ll be fine.

Amazing hikes around Bray Head Irish language walks that leave from Knightstown Royal Valentia - hotel & restaurant Ferry to Knightstowns take about 10 minutes to cross and runs continuously from morning to evening. Check timetables to make sure you know the first/last ferry. It runs about 10 EUR a trip but you can get a multi-trip pass which is generally worth it – you can easily hand off unused trips to someone in the family. Places to stay
