The [Gun Violence Memorial Project](https://www.gunviolencememorialproject.org/) was on exhibit in Boston from August 2024 to January 2025. The exhibit consists of glass houses each built with 700 bricks which is a reference to the average number of gun deaths every week during 2018. That number increased to 840 in 2024, meaning that 120 people are killed on average everyday with a gun. The bricks in each glass house include mementos offered by families of someone killed by a gun.
