Privacy Policy

Overview
This website (sean.horgan.net) is a personal site maintained by Sean Horgan (“I,” “me”). This policy describes what personal data this site and the services connected to it handle, and how that data is used.
What this policy covers
This site itself is a static, content-only website — it serves markdown notes, articles, and section pages. It does not run server-side applications, does not ask you to create an account, and does not collect data through forms.
A small number of automated personal assistants (“agents”) that I run may use Google account authentication (OAuth) against my own Google services, including Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Drive. These agents act on my behalf and for my use only. This policy explains what happens with data in that context.
Data accessed and how it is used
When an agent authenticates with my permission, it may access that data from my connected Google services for the purpose of:
- Reading and organizing email, calendar events, and files on my behalf.
- Summarizing, triaging, and drafting responses at my direction.
- Keeping notes, plans, and workflows in sync across the services I use.
All such access is performed under my explicit authorization when I invoke the agent, and is used solely to assist me with my own personal and administrative tasks. The data accessed is not used for any purpose beyond what I direct.
What is not done with your data
This site and my agents do not:
- Sell, rent, or licence personal data to third parties.
- Use app-accessed data for advertising or ad targeting.
- Share accessed data with third parties except where strictly necessary to operate the services (for example, the OAuth provider itself) or where required by law.
Retention
Data accessed by my agents is used transiently in the course of completing a task and is not deliberately retained beyond what is needed for the task or by the underlying service. You can revoke an agent’s access to your Google services at any time from your Google account’s third-party app permissions page, which will stop further access.
Third-party services
- Google provides the account authentication and the underlying services (Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive). Your use of those services is governed by Google’s own privacy policy and terms of service.
- The site is hosted and deployed via GitHub, Cloudflare, and other infrastructure providers, which may process standard access logs (IP address, user agent) in the course of delivering the site.
Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
