Synopsis
Set in the marshes of South Carolina, Adia & Clora Snatch Joy is a world-premiere a cappella folk opera written by Mfoniso Udofia with music composed by Michael Ellis Ingram. Serving as the ninth and final production in the playwright’s acclaimed “Ufot Family Cycle,” the story follows Clora Abernathy and Adiaha Ufot, two dutiful daughters who have long dedicated their lives to their families, as their meeting sparks a transformative journey toward prioritizing their own happiness, pleasure, and joy.
